Knuckling down on the Cards

R.A. Dickey really pulls through again as Mets Beat Cardinals 4-0! Dickey takes a 3 hitter into the 9th. After giving up a hit and getting into a little trouble, Jerry brings in K-Rod who gets his 22nd save.
Ike homers. 3 run shot! It's all we needed. R.A. has been a godsend!

To pitch or Not to pitch....

Mets and cardinals always play to the death for some reason.
I think they just can't get enough of each other.

Mets rallied hard to dig themselves out of the hole that Johan put them in in the first.
He surrendered 13 hits, a career high, in 5 2/3 innings.

Dickey next up!
Let's Go Mets!!!!

Mets Deal Cards some Home Cookin'!

Mets stop Cardinals Wainwrights 26 inning scoreless streak. Big Homerun by Frenchy who put the game away at 4-1 with a 3 run shot.
Beltran got a couple of hits and Wright may be learning to go with the pitch and try to score runners instead of k'ing trying to go yard.
Neise was solid. Great defense by Wright helped him out.
Jerry sat this one out for 1 game suspension for bumping ump. "Feel free to take tonight off too Jerry"!
4 days later, and Bay finally has a concussion? Hmmmmmm

R.A. :"TRUST ME" and Jerry didn't!

Mets -Dodgers 07-25-10

Dickey wanted Jerry to trust him. But we can't trust Jerry.
Some of the decisions he makes are mind-boggling!

The bats are quiet and so is HOJO! I see you Hojo...
You Gotta go!

Hey Jerry what's the story?!

Mets-Dodgers 7- 24-10

All those innings with scoreless relief...k-rod ready in the bullpen...and genius brings in Ollie with the game on the line!

Does Jerry have to come back to New York with the team?
We need fire! We Need Wally or Bobby V!

Here's the Mets Weekly Interview about the Journal

Bay Hey! Finally! Mets win 6-1

Everything Clicked tonite!
This is the way it was supposed to be!
Dodgers just couldn't deal with Santana and his slidin', divin' and hittin' Mets!

Friday, July 23, 2010

LA Story! Horror Story!

Pitching doesn't seem to be the problem! It's our Offense! I mean lack of Offense. 9 innings of nothing! This loss to the Dodgers puts us back 7.5 games. The slide begins!
Get some Boxes ready. Tonite, if they lose i start filling them!

MY Mets Journal and me on Mets Weekly!

Here's the commercial for Mets weekly. I'm going to be featured this weekend. Saturday at 12 noon on SNY TV.

Now I'm Worried!

Now this is getting out of hand! ARIZONA! A team that hasn't swept anyone since last August! The D-backs are not this good. But are we THIS BAD?!
Ollie is out of the box and after last nights bases loaded performance, I am keeping the box opened for him.
The Bay watch is on! This guy is killing us!
and ...Jerry...I don't think I'll be drawing you a lot longer.

Wednesday, July 21, 2010

Dickey Stranded again by no Offense!

Jerry! Your killin' me! You HAVE to beat the D-Backs!
Especially with a rookie on the mound!
Either drop Jason bay to #8 Or put him in a box!
And now you're sending down Thole to make room for Ollie? Send down Bay he could use some instruction!
We're making these guys look like the '27 YANKEES!

Just couldn't believe it!
Pelfrey Looked Lost! That glazed look... The pitiful Arizona D-Backs were bashing our boy! The worst thing is that he opened the doo (box) to an OLLIE return!

Did you ever notice that only one letter is the difference between the word Closer and Loser?
Let's give Santana a chance to finish all of his games! This K-Fraud is not a closer.
The only thing he is going to close is the season!

Mets 4 - Giants 3

Mets NOT doing well in Land of the Giants!

Giants 8 Mets 4
Can't believe we let the first 2 games of this series get away. Now after this game we really need to pick it up. This could be a new beginning or a free fall!
This is where I usually ditch this book. But I am going to stick with it! Let's Go Mets!!!!!

Shut Down and Shut out!

Another well pitched game wasted! This offense is pathetic. And do you really care the Frenchy needs AB's? With Jose out, Pagan needs to lead off! Giants1-Mets 0

Friday, July 16, 2010

Great start for Dickey but....

Mets - Giants AT&T Park SF -
With Beltran back, everything was supposed to work like a charm.
Dickey was on the mound and only gave up 5 hits in 7 innings with one earned run .
Beltran got his first hit on his 2nd AB. Unfortunately, there were only 5 more Mets hits off
of Tim Lincecum. Reyes may start next game. We need his fire. And speaking about "Fire"..

Thursday, July 15, 2010

Let The games Begin!.....Again! we go Mets fans! 4 games behind the Braves with the Phillies on our tail, starting the 2nd half on the west coast....everything seems to be in place.
Let's BELIEVE! We CAN do it!

D-Wright! D-All-star!

The National League defeated the American League, 3-1, in the All-Star Game for the first time since 1996. Now Let's get back to business and Let's Go Mets!

By George...You'll be missed!

"The passing of George Steinbrenner marks the end of an era in New York City baseball history. George was a larger than life figure and a force in the industry. The rise and success of his teams on the field and in the business marketplace under his leadership are a testament to his skill, drive, and determination.
"All of us at the Mets send our deepest condolences to his wife Joan, his sons Hank and Hal, daughters Jennifer and Jessica, his grandchildren, and everyone at the Yankees organization."

Derby NOT a Homerun!

David Ortiz of the Red Sox beat Florida Marlins Hanley Ramirez by 11-5 in the final round Monday at Angel Stadium. It was pretty boring. Gone are the days of the Glorious and powerful Homerun Kings! My only joy was seeing Nick Swisher go down in the first round. 27 rings = 14 swings...Have a seat!

Sunday, July 11, 2010

Well, at least we took last game against Braves. Go into the break only 4 games out!
Rest up Boys! We have a lot of work ahead of us!

Pelf off ! Another bad start!

The New York Mets had a chance to head into the All Star break as the leaders in the National League East over the Atlanta Braves and Philllies but instead we're on the verge of being swept and could end up in third when it's all over before the break.
The Good never seems to last!

Saturday, July 10, 2010

now we R.A. four games out!

Atlanta, our old rival is back! Mets need to win next 2 just to stay close before All-Star break. Big Pelf will Brave the mound for us tomorrow!

Friday, July 9, 2010

LeBron Gone!

Don't worry Mets fans! We have King Jerry leading us into Atlanta!
Here's to a great series!

Happy Birthday Greg!

No game last night! So I wanted to wish My friend Greg A Happy 40th!

Not Niese at all.

Mets just can't score runs for their pitchers lately.
Brandon Phillip's solo home run and run- scoring double was all of the offense Bronson Arroyo needed as the Cincinnati Reds won the rubber match of a three-game set over the New York Mets and Jon Niese, 3-1, at Citi Field.
