Harvey Officially a Met!

Buck 'n Bullpen!

Monday, April 29, 2013

Ok..Now you can blame the bullpen again.

After taking a day off from sucking, the Bullpen was back at it again!

Gee back in the "L" column.

The only thing standing between Gee and a great start was Howard. He owns Gee. Today you couldn't blame the Bullpen. Today we blame the non-existant Mets bats.

Couldn't Dodge them more than once.

Mets Bullpen let down Niese in Game 1. He looked good but got hit on the foot with a drive that took him out of the game, Then the bullpen came in and really took the, out of the game.

Game 2- Harvey wasn't as sharp as usual and needed help from Mets bats. Wright got him off the hook for the loss and Valdespin sealed the deal with a walk-off grand slam in the 10th.

Game 3- Hefner looked good. Bats were pathetic. Bullpen was horrid.

Remembering #42

It was 66 years ago today that Jackie Robinson made his debut for the Brooklyn Dodgers, breaking Major League Baseball's long-standing color barrier. Today, every player from the 18 teams in action will wear the No. 42 in his honor.

Robinson wasn't just one of the most important players in baseball history; he was also one of the finest performers of his generation. Jackie had a .311 lifetime average, won the Rookie of the Year award in 1947, the National League MVP in 1949 and played in six All-Star Games.

Once,Pee Wee Reese put his arm around Jackie Robinson and said "Someday maybe we'll all wear No. 42. Then they won't be able to tell us apart."

Today is that day.
