My NY Mets sketchbook. I create an entry after each Mets game or commentary on the crazy stuff going on around the team.
So, it took us 299 games to hit a grand slam...but hey, as long as it doesn't take 300, everything's cool, right?Great to see you in the Times by the way!
Congrats on getting the recognition you deserve in the Times. I love your work. Your Jerry and Ollie in a box character are the only thing I miss about those two. Do you plan on selling copies of the 2011 journal? It's been a fun ride this year so far as a Mets fan and a compilation art would be a great memento. Keep up the great work and Let's Go Mets!
Found this site through the #mets twitter who probably found it through the news article. Just wanted to say love love love your work! Went back a month work of posts couldn't go all the way cause it was a lot of b&w (heh). Shared it on my own FB! Would definitely pay for a book of this season!
Thanks for the comments and for following with me. I really appreciate the love.
Congrats on times article. Looking forward to a colorful summer!
I hope it's a very colorful summer Stanley! Thanks to all for your good wishes and comments.
Yes, here's to more color! I'm with Rodney. Book!
You should consider making your journal into a book. Mets fans around the world would love it as a keepsake. Your artwork is amazing....as are the Amazing Mets!
Damn great work! You are a talented and passionate soul. It was wonderful to see your work, and meet you via the web...
I really love your blog, man! Keep up the good work. Greetings from Switzerland
it is about time you got some credit in the NYT Joe! Congratulations!I agree with Rodney above, a Joe Petruccio Mets annual is a purchase i would make!Scott Richmond
Glad I found this (through the NYT). Your portraiture style and use of color is truly amazing! The fact that you are a REAL Mets fan makes this all so much more special. Mucho kudos, dude. Now let's see if the Metsies can pile it on tonight and win one for Terry and his dad. LGM!
Another great 14-run night tonight! Can't wait to see your next illustration. You create amazing art!
They used to say a singles, doubles, triples offense was a "pop gun offense" -- the Mets have changed the paradigm. They are a Gatling Gun offense.
