ReplyDeletethe kid
ReplyDeletewant!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first got into the Mets, Carter became my favorite because we shared the same name. Once I started to understand baseball he stayed my favorite because he was a beast that never let up. He is one of the least deserving people to get such a disease but if anyone and fight through it, it's The Kid.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog. I need the humor as a Mets fan. I hated Carter as an Expo but loved him when he joined the Mets. Love the drawing.
ReplyDeleteJoe, love your blogs. It's really nice of you to be giving something like this away.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as always, Joe.
ReplyDeleteAwesome art work!
ReplyDeleteLove the Carter watercolor and all the work you do here, I can only wish that I had that talent. I had the good fortune to meet Gary Carter at the Hall of Fame Classic game in Cooperstown. He was kind enough to stop and give an autograph for my 8-year old daughter. We are praying for him and hope that things will work out.
ReplyDeleteLove your work, Let's go Mets
ReplyDeleteThanks for the supreme enjoyment of all your art. Best wishes to the "Kid".
ReplyDeletelove the sketches
ReplyDeletegorgeous art mang
ReplyDeleteJoe, your the best, i share your journal entries daily on my blog. Thanks for being such a great fan and artist, thanks for sharing your art with us, and most importantly thanks for giving us fans a chance to win one of a kind art work. A SUPER BIG THANK YOU IF YOU PICK ME!!!
ReplyDeleteI always love these watercolors. The only problem I have is that I need to use my (very temperamental) proxy to get to this site from China, but really that's a small complaint
ReplyDeletefollowing... great job Joe!
ReplyDeleteHi Joe,
ReplyDeleteIt's heartbreaking to know what The kid and his family are going through right now - My prayers are with them. The portrait is awesome as are all of your drawings.... kind of reminds me of the classic Bill Gallo sketch of Thurman Munson after his passing. It's a great tribute to The Kid, thank you for painting it (I'd love to hang it on my wall). My whole family shares the same passion you do for the Mets (and Jets and Knicks). My son Teddy sent you a picture of me wearing the "Ollie in the Box" shirt, where i crossed out Ollie and wrote in "Bay"! We all love your work... Thanks!!!
Awesome
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work. I look forward to every one! LETS GO METS!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust an awesome sketch, wouldn't mind even a copy of it. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful work of art!
ReplyDeletejoe-
ReplyDeleteyou are once again, a bright light in a dim bulb of a season. if only your passion was matched more
consistently by the guys in uniform...
Joe, you the man!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower, great piece!
ReplyDeleteJoe,
ReplyDeleteAmazing as always. I've often heard Carter speak about his role in that incredible comeback in Game 6, and how he didn't want to be the last out. I know his determination, will and faith will serve him with this daunting challenge, and hope along with all his fans that he make it though this. My sincerest well wishes.
Best,
Jessie B.
This is an awesome prize...thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would be elated to win
ReplyDeleteThis would be a great gift for my dad, a huge Mets fan.
