My NY Mets sketchbook. I create an entry after each Mets game or commentary on the crazy stuff going on around the team.
"It may be over for him" - c'mon, Joe - can't give up on him this quickly...
I'm not giving up Dave. I meant "Mentally" He really seems to have some demons in his head that his, now deceased , psychologist was working out with him. He refers to him constantly.
Actually, I don't know why we can't draw conclusions from the data. Mike Pelfrey has been in the league for a few years, has had significant issues controlling his emotions and his psyche, and other than one stretch last year where he was brilliant -- does not appear to have the makeup right now to be a front-line starter. It doesn't mean he won't become a serviceable major league starter, but vast majority of evidence suggests a rather mediocre future.
Exactly. He may never be an Ace. New York may be too much for him. He has had enough time to grow. I think he mentally done here.
Joe, I had bad feelings going into that game. No confidence at all in Pelfrey. Like the way the Mets battled back. I have optimism for today. I think Neise will battle.
Joe, I like your theme this year. Wins in color, losses in B&W. Nice touch brother.
Somebody needs to tell Pelf he is 6'7"....he needs to look angry, not scared when he pitches. He should be an intimidating figure on the mound!
not Black and White Drawing Joe we cant start now!!! lets go Mets
