Once Again Joe you come through with another Great Art piece.
You must be excited as you head into uncharted territory chronicling the Mets this 2nd half.
It has been fun to see how your art pieces have grown as the season has progressed from the way you have developed certain characters like the crates for one and also how you have brought in more details and colors as the season has gone along.
I mean as I scan back through the 1st half the Opening Day piece and today's current piece while still capturing your unique style are so very different.
Can't wait to what surprises the 2nd half has in store.
Thanks. You are so right about the journal. I noticed it myself, just the other day, how the season started out very simple as far as the drawings go and now have much more personality and color.
The journal is like a season. To begin with it's simple, innocent - not knowing what really to expect. But as it plays out it takes on a personality. It's interesting how the team, players and even outside events impact each other.
Kind of like the Wizard of OZ. Starts out in Black and white and turns into glorious color.
Hopefully this season we will get Over that rainbow.
No matter what happens this season...I am so glad I got to share it with all of you. You have made this season one of the most special seasons I've ever experienced...win or lose.

Joe, I smile at every one of your drawings, but when I read the Ollie/Maine lines in this one, I laughed hysterically out loud!
ReplyDeleteI Love those guys in the box too. I'm sure they'll be getting company soon enough. LOL
